Our Approach to Cookie Use (including Third Party Cookies)

Use of cookies on the Metal Expert Witness website presently arises on our 'contact' page where Google Maps tracks visitors' IP addresses.

Our website also uses Webalizer, a web analytics service provided by our hosting service. Webalizer uses cookies to help us analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the site is transmitted to and stored by Webalizer. On our behalf, Webalizer uses this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet activity in connection with the use of the website. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.

We do not presently use Google Analytics, Google Adsense or similar services (which depend on the use of cookies). As at Q4 2020, we are not aware of any other cookie use on our website.

To disable cookies using your browser...

• Google Chrome: Click the wrench image on the browser toolbar. Select Settings. Click 'Show advanced settings'. In the 'Privacy' section, click the 'Content settings' button. To disable cookies, in the 'Cookies' section, then pick 'Block sites from setting any data'.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0: Click on 'Tools' at the top of the browser window and select 'Internet Options'. In the options window, navigate to the 'Privacy' tab. To disable cookies move slider to the top to block all cookies.
• Mozilla Firefox: Click on 'Tools' at the browser menu. Select 'Options'. Select the Privacy panel. To disable cookies: Uncheck 'Accept cookies for sites'.
• Other browsers: Please look for a 'support' function in the browser or contact the browser provider.
